Messaging from the vehicle queue

It is possible to view, send and review customer and internal messages directly from the Vehicle Queue page. Alternatively, messaging can be done from the Messenger page as described in The Messenger Page.

 

Message indicators

A message indicator at the top of the page shows how many unread messages are waiting for you. There is one icon for each category of sender, along with the number of unread messages.

 

The sender categories indicated by the icons are:

Icon Sender Users notified Notes
CU

A customer SMS (i.e. a reply)

All users. Any user can view and respond to a customer message.
SA Any Service Advisor via Messenger

User to whom the message was sent,

or

All users, if this is a vehicle chat message.

or

All Parts Department users if this is a parts team message or notification.

Includes messages to a group if the user is part of that group (e.g. Technicians).

Includes parts notifications as described in Parts request notifications .
ST Any Technician or Parts Advisor via Messenger

Includes messages to a group if the user is part of that group.

DE

Any Dealer Administrator via Messenger

Includes messages to a group if the user is part of that group.
EM Any user via Employee Messenger using SMS. User to whom the message was sent. These are text messages sent between employees.
